Follow up checks: Lung nodules on CT cans are common; most of these nodules are benign unless you are a heavy smoker. The best way to resolve the question of them being benign or cancerous is to obtain a follow up CT scan in 6 months. If they remain unchanged they are considered benign. you may have to change your doctor if the first one is not willing to do a follow up with a CT scan of your chest.
