Omeprazole and other drugs in its class (proton pump inhibitors) will commonly deplete the body of magnesium. Taking magnesium will likely help with this. A magnesium supplement with a better absorption rate is important. Magnesium citrate, oxide, and sulfate tend to commonly cause loose stools. Magnesium glycinate has a high bioavailability with fewer side effects. 200mg is a reasonable dose.
