There is no one size fits all with asthma. Some patients only have to avoid triggers such as animals,peanuts,etc. Others with mild occasional symptoms only need to use a quick acting bronchodilator inhaler,others need both preventative & rescue inhalers daily, some need 2 or 3 types daily as well as oral meds. See an MD to determine what's best for you. Don't treat yourself.

I think it is best for you to see a Physician, a Pulmonologist, who is a Specialist. This Specialist most likely will offer you possibly an inhaler, to help combat your asthma.
