General symptoms: General symptoms are common symptoms that a huge proportion of humans have at one time or another. For example, symptoms such as headache, fever, runny nose, indigestion, diarrhea, leg or knee pains, etc... are common to all of us. Thus, the details and a patient's history are going to make the difference. Otherwise, a general symptom (the medical term is nonspecific symptom) has little meaning.
