My doctor prescribed premarin for vaginal dryness. it was too expensive so he then ordered estradiol cream. he says the dosage is 0.5 gram twice a week but the applicator doesn't even go that low. i think that's the premarin dosage not estradiol?

You can use your little finger gently to apply it. Or a cotton applicator if that is still too big- but genly and carefully

You are correct. The usual maintenance dose of estradiol vaginal cream is 1 gm twice or three times a week, but if you are just starting it then 1 or 2 gm daily for the first two weeks will give you quicker relief.
