Typically abnormal urinalysis such as present blood, bacteria, nitrite and leukocyte positive results are reasons for the lab to run a reflex urine culture to determine bacterial growth. A patient doesn’t necessarily need to provide another urine sample for a culture

A normal urinalysis should negate the need for urine culture unless there is strong suspicion of lab error which can rarely happen. In that case, the urinalysis should be redone +/- urine culture if patient has typical symptoms of urinary tract infection. Good luck!

If no symptoms or signs of infection- no need for a culture.
