A member asked:

Would it be any way possible to maybe get a pass on seeing a provider for suboxone treatment? i was seeing a regular doctor before but he up and left the practice....so i'm out of meds and i'm screwed?

I don’t think so. I think that, since Physician left practice, you should establish a relationship with a new practitioner. I would call the office where you were previously seen, and explain the circumstances. Your medication is for a serious condition. It is best to be evaluated first, and be treated accordingly. Call practice ASAP!!!!

Not on the free HealthTap platform, start searching for local offices in the area, Suboxone remains a controlled drug, lots of restrictions and scrutiny apply, the waiver applies only to a specific license needed for prescribing it. Your best resource will be your primary care doc, if having one.
