Where is the baby bleeding from? Does the baby have a bleeding disorder-like hemophilia? There are many questions that need to be answered. If the baby has a bleeding disorder, there is often treatment available so the bleeding gets under control. Tests would need to be done to determine this. Best of luck to you!

A common cause of this is a brain bleed, the consequences of which vary. It is common in premature infants. Those with minor bleeds often recover with minimal brain damage. Major bleeds often lead to death or severe disability in those who survive. In a similar light, brain bleeds from trauma have variable outcome.
