It is not usual to have a fast pulse rate after taking Plavix, but I am not sure whether it has anything to be concerned about or not. I would recommend that you keep a record of your pulse rate before and after Plavix for a few days and make an appointment to see your doctor and show them what is happening. Good luck.

Certain medication can speed up the heart rate and we may accept a raise of less than 20 beats above the baseline as long as you are asymptomatic. If you are my patient and your heart rate increases more than 20 beats above the baseline or if you have symptom or limited in daily activity after taking plavix, I would prefer to change plavix to a different antiplatelet agent.
