Hx ic for30 years w consistent micro hematuria gross hematuria 2x 5.5 years ago-ct-sm kidney cyst & 3.5 years ago neg cysto ultrasound-cyst. had cysto & urine cytology in nov neg. ultrasound-cyst. office called today out of blue & wants ct. why now?

I assume that no nodules were present on your ultrasound. I would have to think that a renal cyst seen on ultrasound showed some atypical features and was not considered a simple cyst. Your MD, urologist or nephrologist can answer your question best.

If the ultrasound of Nov showed a simple cyst with no changes from before no need for a CT, Have the doc wanting CT explain the reason. Take care.

Hi. I had urine test with plus 1 blood in urine but culture had no bacteria. Concerned about this but did have kidney cysts on a CT scan years ago.
