A member asked:

From my recent abdominal mri report for liver mass. what does this mean? along the inferior margin of segment 3, there is a mildly t2 hyperintense and hypoenhancing focus measuring up to 1.2 cm; mild rim enhancement is noted in the delayed phase?

It isn't possible to accurately interpret this without clinical correlation -- symptoms, the nature of the liver mass, and so on. Imaging or pathology reports are written for the requesting physician and other radiologists, not the patient. It's best for patients to go to the bottom of the report: look for "Interpretation", "Conclusion" or similar terminology. And always discuss w/ the doctor.
