I just had an mri for my thoracic spine & it reads lobular t2 hyperintense lesion in the liver measuring 1.6 x 1.5 cm. what is that? my mri was to diagnose my upper thoracic pain ?

That lesion was coincidentally detected but you will need further work-up for that. I may or may not related to your thoracic spine problem.

The majority of liver lesions seen on MRI are hyperintense and thus, it's a nonspecific finding. A hepatologist or gastroenterologist should be consulted to further investigate/advise you about further testing and appropriate follow-up for this lesion.
