Have had excess throat mucus over a month. pet scan 12/22 was good and ct scan in 8/22 was good. can this excess mucus be post nasal drip? lived for many years with smoker.had 2 lung nodules on ct but were faint on pet scan. could be bronchitis?

Bronchitis comes with significant symptoms like cough, wheezing ,fever/chills/chest discomfort some times. Though you have 2 lung nodules, as you say CT chest and PET scans are good, it appears that the nodules are not serious enough to cause symptoms. The mucus you have could be secondary to mild sinus inflammation/non specific inflammation of respiratory tract and self limiting .If not see ur Dr

If excess mucus in the throat is your only symptom, postnasal drip is a likely explanation. You may try steam inhalation to help in clearing out your sinuses.
