I have a family history of hematological malignancy. i understand that a cbc may provide possible evidence of a hm which requires further investigation. but can a cbc miss early signs of a potential hm because it simply cannot test for everything?

Since we consider multiple myeloma, AL amyloidosis,Waldenstrom's macroglbulinemia hematologic malignancies, for example, a routine cbc& differential cell count will usually not detect these bone marrow plasma cell malignancies.
