I have a stomach virus and threw up forcefully a lot. at the very end of the throw up session i saw a little bit of red mixed in with throw up but not much. im paranoid i have mallory weiss syndrom. how would i know if have that if i dont vomit mor?

Forceful vomiting can produce such findings. Stay on the treatment of your syndrome and if not better see your GI doc. Good luck.

Usually a Mallory Weiss tear would present with a lot of bleeding. If you continue to pass blood via vomit or if you noticed that your stores turn black or tarry, you should go to the emergency room immediately. Good luck.
