I have a hard lump on the lower section of my testicle that comes and goes. if im aroused or firmly inspect my testicle its there for a little while. not painful but sensitive for a time if i inspect it too much. scheduling a visit with the doctor?

I would feel that a very firm mass within a testicle wouldn't come and go and that includes spermatoceles. You're correct in going to a physician for examination,probably will be scheduled for an ultrasound and/or referred to a urologist depending upon the findings.

Good idea to see the doc. It does not sound serious but the area has to be examined. In the meantime wear a supprt underwear. good luck
