My mother has schizoaffective disorder. medicated. has dementia too: very naive, poor meassure of time and amounts of water or food, eg. good memory. how can i help her? is there any therapy to help improve these symptoms and her brain performance?

If you can obtain a full-scale neuropsychological exam, that should be able to clarify the diagnosis and any additional co-morbidities present. An experienced psychiatrist should be able to assist in the search for appropriate medication. A local medical school might be the best overall resource.
