Yes, Cancer can be difficult to detect when it is early in development. CT scan is a good screening test but its usefulness is limited to early detection of Lung Cancer only There is no good test for early detection of blood cancers such as Leukemia which will not show in a CT scan. So the answer to your question is: It depends!
