If your doc was worried you would be on injections of B12 and s/he would tell you. The vitamin is not fully absorbed when taken orally and a lot ends up in your urine. Please discuss your concerns with your doc. This is not rare and can be fixed.

You may try sublingual form of vitamin B12 that is not so much dependent on absorption in the intestine. People with Pernicious anemia used to die from B12 deficiency, now it is easily treatable. If your symptoms do not improve in a matter of days, ask your doctor for injections of B12.
