A member asked:

Is this a correct calculation of tsh response to a trh injection? : subtract baseline from the 30min tsh value after injection. between 8,5 to 20 mu/ml is a normal response. so what if my baseline tsh is 1,9 and my 30min value is 10,2. (result 8.1?

This test is not approved by FDA in the USA, mostly used in research only. With normal thyroid function: TSH rises by 2.0 μU/mL or MORE within 60 minutes and normal response is 20 minute TSH value HIGHER than 60 min TSH. If your 60 minute value is lower than 10.2, you have a normal thyroid function.
