A member asked:

Tsh is 4.93, standard range of 0.27-4.20 uiu/ml. free t4 is 1.19, standard range of 0.93-1.70 ng/dl. what does having these two test results mean?

No need to worry: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your results are close enough to normal that you do not need to be concerned. You may wish to repeat the test in a year or so to see the trend, especially for TSH.
