I've had a lump in my breast since i was 28 and was told by the gyno that it was a cyst. no testing was done. i'm now 33 and it is still there and mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. should i get it checked further?

If a "prime relative" (mother, grandmother, sister) has documented breast cancer, obtain a digital mammogram and ultrasound to determine if the breast "lump" is suggestive of malignancy.
