You should not drink alcohol while taking this medicine as this can lead to increased sedation and potentially decrease your breathing. Having said that, the lorazepam dose is quite low and most of the effect is gone 8 hours later so you should be ok. But, avoid mixing lorazepam and alcohol in the future. Best of luck to you!!

While taking a benzodiazepine hours before drinking alcohol may not cause you significant side effects, it is never a good combo in the long run. Let your prescriber know about your alcohol intake habits, specifically if drinking most of the days.
