I had 2-3 glasses of wine around 6-8 pm, then took 3/4 of a 1 mg pill of lorazepam just before 1 am. now i'm worried that was a stupid thing to do and am not sure if i should just go to sleep.

Wine and benzo: Alcohol and lorazepam affect similar areas of the brain. They should not be taken on the same day normally. The combo may make you very sleepy as it depresses the central nervous system. Its effects on you are dependent on your liver. It's best you have someone with you. My concern is more for your behavior -you should seek care. It very likely you have anxiety or an addiction problem.
