What other ways do you deal with your blood sugar? If you need the pain reduction/anti-inflammation effect of the steroid, you may need to tolerate it raising your blood sugar. You can stop it, but any blood sugar elevation may remain up for a while & can be up from the pain. A call to your doc to sort out the two issues would be reasonable.
