I had an xray done of my spine and saw black spots air/fat at my liver could that be fatty liver showing up or just gas?

Plain spine X-ray can not detect fatty liver. The black image in plain X-ray is air pocket, likely the transverse colon.

What you were saying was most likely air in the digestive tract. It is not easy to see fatty liver On a plain x-ray. Good luck.
