The vitreous detaches from the retina as a normal part of aging. Your symptoms are typical for this event. A complete vitreous detachment will likely follow. No activity restrictions are recommended.

Saw retina specialist yesterday for tons of new gnatlike floaters. I had a PVD about 9 years ago in that eye and was told it was complete. Doc did OCT told me my diagnosis was PVD that he saw new vitreous seperation on my scan. Is this possible?
