A member asked:

My previous question was that if someone has melanoma and it spread to the brain and they start having symptoms would it be possible for them to still be alive for 5 years if they didnt get treatment?

Possible but unlikely. Tumors often behave unpredictably.

Such survival would be unusual, prognosis is usually in weeks to months for malignancies with brain Mets. Treatments make a big difference and results may last sometimes.
