You can try high dose prilosec first, 40 mg, twice a day + anti-reflux measures: do not lie down within 2 hours after a meal and raising the head of your bed with bricks (8-10" higher). If pain is not improved after 2 weeks you need to see a gastroenterologist. If it improves, take prilosec for 2 months and indefinite anti-reflux measures and avoid foods which exacerbate the symptoms.
