Does a adult ear tube help cure a swimmers ear infection would you still need antibiotics if you have a swimmers ear infection or would it go away on its own?

Swimmers ear involves only the outer ear canal. Treatment would not require or benefit from a tube. If anything the ear drops needed for swimmers ear should not contain drugs that can be toxic to the structures in the middle ear space and pass through a tube to reach it.
