I take 12.5mg hydrochlorothiazide for bp. missed 2 doses & got pitting edema in my legs, one worse than the other, and my fingers felt tight. i think it's from missing - never had it before, and good echocardiogram 6 months ago. should i be worried?

Hydrochlorothiazide dose of 12.5 mg does not have any significant diuretic effect so I truly doubt that edema will develop after missing 25 mg of this medication. However, you should not worry much for now, just resume Hctz and be cautious with both fluid and salt intake for at least a couple days. If edema persists or gets worse, you should see your doctor.
