Depends on the cause: There can be many different causes of edema, from congestive heart failure to liver failure to obstruction from a tumor to leaky valves in the veins of the legs. Thus, the cure, if there is one, depends on the underlying cause. So does the treatment. See your primary care provider to discuss why you have the edema and what can be done about it.
