A member asked:

Follow up question - would repeated pressure on the head/ neck area during intercourse be enough to cause a bleed if also taking eliquis during that time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eliquis does not cause bleeding but makes bleeding more vigorous if an aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation were to rupture. Valsalva-like maneuvers can provoke such latter events if the anomaly is present. Thunderclap headaches can occur with sex, but these are migraine variants, not hemorrhagic events.
