A member asked:

Is taking one eliquis & then bumping your head enough to cause a brain bleed? or is that very rare?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If a head injury is to cause intracranial harm, especially bleeding, a significant force will be necessitated, a possible skull fracture may accompany with or without an arterial tear, bridging veins may be injured, especially in senior citizens. The Eliquis does NOT cause the bleeding but makes it worse if it does start.
