I have braces, and my orthodontist put a little metal bead-shaped thing on my wire right before my molar. my orthodontist's office is closed and google does not have any answers. thank you?

You did not ask a question, only stated facts. Can't answer appropriately without a question. If the attachment is cutting your check buy some orthodontic wax from your local pharmacy and place it on the attachment. If it is something else then repost with a specific question and details or wait until our orthodontist is back in the office.

The little bead shaped thing may be a stop on the wire to prevent inappropriate tooth movement and-or wire displacement. Leave a message on the Orthodontists voice mail (first & last name, and repeat phone # 2x). If the stop is irritating your soft tissues, apply Orthodontic wax. The Orthodontist probably gave you some when your braces went on. Don't panic. Your Orthodontist's office will call.
