: Studies have showed warfarin is more effective than xarelto or other DOACs in the prevention of secondary thrombosis. You do not tell us if you have had a thrombotic event in the past and whether it's arterial or venous thrombosis. If you never had a blood clot and anticoagulant is given for primary prevention, xarelto is probably okay.
