Depends...: Patients who only have lupus anticoagulant or other anti-phospholipid antibodies should not be routinely anticoagulated with warfarin unless they have had a clot. Patients who have not had a clot are best off just taking a baby Aspirin daily. If you have not had a blood clot but you are being prescribed warfarin for just having antibodies, seek a 2nd opinion by another rheumatologist.
