My friend has a really bad case of ringworm. it is on the scalp, leg and back. theyve had this for over five months yet doctors are still prescribing cream instead of oral medicication. is this an error they are making? what can they do?

I know that ringworm involving the scalp usually requires oral antifungal medication for weeks. Your friend may well be a candidate for both oral and topical antifungal treatment but I'd leave the decision to a dermatologist with experience in treating extensive ringworm infections.

How long is ringworm contagious on terbinafine? I used a topical cream for 2-3 days and ran on and I read that itd only be contagious for 1 or 2 days after using it. I ran out and went to the doctors a week later and was prescribed the terbinafine.
