I assume this lesion is in the stomach. I wonder if you've had upper GI symptoms which triggered the gastroscopic examination. Endoscopic ultrasound approach permits thorough evaluation of the extent of the lesion and obtains good biopsy specimens. You'll get a tissue diagnosis and then,I assume, there will be collaboration between the gastroenterologist & an abdominal surgeon depending upon dx
