If possible, obtain an echocardiogram with measurement of global longitudinal strain. If the GLS is normal it rules out diastolic dysfunction. If you don't have predisposition to diastolic dysfunction, which for all intents & purposes in your case boils down to hypertension or infiltrative disease of the myocardium, your echo diagnosis of DD is probably erroneous. Discuss with your cardiologist.
