If TMJ is bad enough it may force you go fast. I do not think fasting and TMJ relief have.been studied. Or perhaps you miss typed? Recommend reading before sending. I find it very useful. ;-)

TMJ dysfunction takes years to become established. Symptom reduction, likewise, is a laborious process. Occlusal Orthotic (Night Guard) may provide relief in weeks to months. If so, your occlusion my be contributory and an Orthodontist should be consulted. Analgesics, biofeedback, muscle relaxants, may ease symptoms. At you age, I suspect wisdom teeth may cause muscular disturbance which lead to TMJ symptoms. I would remove the wisdom teeth as a first step. The next step is treating malocclusion. Ortho/crowns may be required.
