I had a capsule endoscopy and fell asleep for the first few hours afterward. my doctor said i may have gastroparesis since the capsule travelled slowly and didn't reach the end of my small intestines. could sleeping have caused the slow movement?

"Gastroparesis" should not be influenced by sleep, as the intestinal movement continues whether asleep or awake. Ask the GI physician for guidance.
