You can try Benadryl. If they persist it is best to see your doc.

I assume you're unaware of triggers of these hives. Often the cause is elusive. If antihistamines like benadryl don't prevent or relieve symptoms, latest advice is to add an H2 blocker like famotidine to take along with an H1 blocker like Benadryl or claritin. I've found that Atarax can be effective. An allergist can evaluate&advise you best.
