My four year old complained of a sore throat on dec 29th. he said it was better the 31st when he woke up but he still has a low grade fever 99.5 when he wakes up and it was 100.4 taken rectally after the shower today. no other symptoms, i am worried?

He could have a trivial viral illness but better be checked and screened for influenza and Covid-19 infection.
