3 years ago i hit my head on the right frontal area, there was a large bump and i had a black eye. no scans were ever done. to this day there is still a bump, and when i touch the area i get an intense sharp pain. what could this mean?

Initially these are usually blood collections in or under the scalp that accompany the scuff of the bone and breaks in local blood vessels. Residual bumps can be a bone reaction to the injury, composed of calcium/new bone formation. Any pain is localized pain fibers. If it is noticeable sometimes the material can be removed through in incision buried in the eyebrow.
