A member asked:

Is it normal for a young adult to have much better hearing for high frequencies than low frequencies? its not that i have significant hearing loss. for low frequencies i can still hear at 20 db, but at higher frequencies i can hear at 0-5 db?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

As we age, the initial hearing loss affects high frequencies and speech discrimination. The lower frequencies are relatively spared
