Yes: Hearing is an important tool and an imprtant sense. Hearing loss could lead to depression but it may be treatable. Consults with neurologists, ent, and a speech therapist to DX and treat the problem are important. Aconsult with a psychiatrist or psychologist if depression continues is recommended.

Yes: Hearing loss not only means that it is difficult to hear but also that many social interactions become much more complicated. A common result of hearing loss is difficulty maintaining good relations with other people and resulting depression.
