A member asked:

I go to doctor 3 times a year for infections sinus or hoarseness taking clarithomycin . can you get immune to them going to doc 3 times a year to where they dont work ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

People do not develop a resistance to antibiotics. The germ involved might, but the germs strains come and go over time. At some point you may be infected by a germ resistant to one antibiotic by random chance, the possibility exists whether you were treated months ago or not.
