Yes it is safe but: Acute Sinusitis is sometimes treated with a long course of antibiotics. 2/3 rd of acute Sinusitis do not require any antibiotics and gets better by itself. How many days you take antibiotics depends on many factors like acute on chronic Sinusitis and severity of the infection.If culture is available you know what antibiotic to use. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) can cause gastrointestinal side effects like Diarrhea
