The explanation should be done by the doctor who has followed you for this electrolyte imbalance. I have seen patients with the same parameters but the etiology (reason & explanation) has to be individualized. E.g. what types of vitamin D were measured because a patient with low D3 but the active D3 can be high or when calcium is normalized it takes time for the PTH level to normalize, etc.

If you are taking biotin ask lab if that gives a false low PTH.
